Adapted from the kids superhero TV show Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir, this game is easily one of the favorites of fans of the cartoon. It keeps things familiar and original as in the show with the same characters, the same setting and overall the same feel. The app is an action runner game, much like Temple Run. Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir features the superheroes Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir as the playable characters. Players can guide their heroes through a pathway barricaded by obstacles to reach and defeat villains and save the city. The story follows the same concept as the original cartoon show with Marinette, an awkward teenager, struggling through the everyday challenges of a teenager’s life. By night, however, Marinette transforms into a superhero Ladybug. She teams up with her friend and the boy who has an obvious crush on her, Cat Noir, to save the city of Paris from destruction. The city of love is on the verge of getting obliterated in the hands of super villain Hawk Moth and his army of Akumas.

The graphics of the game are impeccable to say the least. They are 3D and almost Pixar-like with the same smooth features and attention to detail. It’s one of the high quality games that you can play on the comfort of your smartphone.

Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir features a runner action type gameplay where players have to make their way as far as they can to avoid obstacles and collect bonuses and upgrades along the way. The characters are capable of performing incredible acrobatic moves like walking horizontally on walls and jumping of building and trains with ease. These moves make the adrenaline rush and add a spin of thrill to Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Laid across the landscape of the game are in-game currency, upgrades, boosters and other special features. The ladybug currency can be used to buy some pretty cool upgrades from the shop to make your moves and acrobats and the overall agility of your character much better. These ladybugs are laid strategically across the game landscape. Following them will lead to the right path. They are never placed on impossible locations to reach so the ladybugs give a good indication of where you need to maneuver your character.

The game not only features the two main playable characters of Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir but you can also play as their teenage non-hero versions – Marinette and Adrien. Similarly, while the main foes in the game are Hawk Moth and his Akumas, there are plenty of other enemies you need to destroy as well. This includes the Dark Cupid, Stormy Weather and The Bubbler. Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir is game that action-lovers will enjoy. It reminds us of Temple Run so fans of Temple Run will also find Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir a familiar yet fun experience.

The app is free to download and play but it does offer in-app purchases that can be used to make your characters grow even stronger and get even better upgrades in the game. The in-app purchases, thus, make the overall difficulty of the game reduce by a considerable degree.

The biggest criticism Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir has faced is one that almost every free app has faced one point in time: too many advertisements. As with other free apps, the large amounts of ads in the game bring the overall charm of it down and cause it to be become slightly irritating.
