The Review

In this action-packed racing game, players must drive their monster car through several levels and crush any zombie in their path. Earn to Die 2 is jam packed with destruction and themes of violence although it isn’t necessarily too gruesome. It is, but, a game appropriate for older children because of the elements of violence and gore that it features.

Earn to Die 2 follows a much longer storyline compared to its predecessor. In this world that is attacked by zombies and is undergoing an apocalypse, you must drive to safety and reach the evacuation ship waiting for you on the other side of the country. The only problem is that there are zombies just about everywhere and as you make your way through city after city, you’ll have to crush them under your wheels and destroy them to clear your path. You have some limitations though. Your car isn’t the sturdiest and it can endure damage overtime. You also have a limited budget to begin with but you can always collect more as you successfully pass through city after city. Alternatively, you can buy the in-game currency with actual money to accelerate your progress in Earn to Die 2.

Earn to Die 2 is a much richer and longer game than Earn to Die. It has an elaborated story mode with tons of levels to keep you occupied. Set it a familiar desert background, Earn to Die 2 is a visual treat with unique aesthetics and great motion animations.

The levels in Earn to Die 2 are multi-tiered. There’s so much that you can do in every level including driving across a decaying highway overpass or taking the route through the underground tunnels. Everywhere you go, you’ll meet packs of zombies that will try to stop you and damage you but you have to obliterate them before they can get to you.

Earn to Die 2 features a roster of destructive vehicles with powerful zombie smashing abilities. Players can unlock and upgrade their machines as they progress through the game and the list of these vehicles is definitely quirky and colorful. You can choose to unlock and upgrade to a sports car, a fire truck and even an ice cream van as long as you’ve got the cash to unlock them. These machines are much more powerful than the run-down car you initially begin the game win.

But remember: no matter what type of zombie smashing car or machine you have, they can all be blown to smithereens if they take too much beating. Be prepared to see your vehicle blow up when the zombie situation gets out of hand. Perhaps this element and theme of destruction only adds to the appeal of Earn to Die 2.

The only problem we have with this game is that there isn’t a lot of diversity when it comes to the actual gameplay. Earn to Die 2 can quickly grow on you and become repetitive. The constant ads running throughout the game don’t help either!
