The app is a consolidation of Starz Play, Encore Play and Movie Plex all for $9 subscription charges per month. This is slightly higher than both Netflix and Hulu but is similar to channels like HBO Now and Showtime. With popular content like Ant-Man, The Girlfriend Experience, Inside Out and hundreds more, the subscription charges are pretty decent.

Previously people had to subscribe separately to Starz and Encore through their cable providers but this handy app makes it a lot easier now. People who have already subscribed on the cable can also use the same subscription details to log on to the app with their cable login.

Starz also allows users to download content and watch it when they are offline. This essentially one of the best features any streaming platform can offer. Since internet might not be available all the time, this offline watching option can come quite handy. Other features offered by this versatile streaming channel include active subbing and dubbing of content. This feature is obviously not available for every movie or TV show in the library but a decent number of movies and TV shows can be dubbed or subbed simply by the tap of a finger. Arabic subtitles and dubs are available. You can also watch select content with French dubs as well. Despite the awesome features and content Starz has to offer, it’s surprising to see so many negative user comments and reviews for the app. Perhaps it’s because many people compare it to the leading streaming platform Netflix or maybe there are actual problems with the app some users face. Users have complained of connectivity issues with the app, poor payment policies and low quality of the downloaded content.
