There isn’t any restriction on sharing, viewing your timeline, liking or viewing photos, searching for people or editing your profile but there are limitation on some of the more heavier and memory-consuming features. On Facebook Lite, you won’t be able to watch videos or upload them. You also cannot access shopping pages or change too much of your settings through the app. There’s also a limitation on uploading display profile videos, adding Facebook stories or viewing them.

Although there are certain restrictions in the Facebook Lite app, you can still make use of most of the features to help you stay connected with your friends. Facebook Lite supports multiple communicating and socializing features including updating your Facebook status and sharing it on your timeline, searching for friends and pages, adding new friends, sending a quick inbox message to a friend, sharing and uploading photos, saving photos shared by your friends, finding local events and nearby locations, looking up local businesses and pages, and accessing your phone’s camera directly through the app for instant sharing.

Other minor settings such as privacy, security, sharing and account settings can also be changed through this abbreviated version of the main Facebook app. If you’re an admin of a page or a group, you can also control your page through this app and make changes or edit the description of the page or group in question. Facebook Lite is a great app to have in your phone if you’re tired of the main Facebook application draining too much of your space, data and battery. It’s also a much faster alternative to the main app. However, not everyone is completely satisfied with how Facebook Lite performs. The app does tend to face occasional technical errors that can go uncorrected for days. There is also an issue with how comments on the application are viewed.
