Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies is a game that centers on the aspect of zombies marching against you. Your goal is to shoot each and every target and protect your brains from getting devoured. Survival is the main element of the game and it gives the adrenaline rush that is always associated with the Call of Duty franchise.

The entry of zombies in this game isn’t new to Call of Duty. There have been games in this series before that incorporated a zombie mode although a smartphone app with such a mode never really existed. Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies is essentially a first person shooter shooting game admixed with features of a horror game. Jump scares aren’t uncommon throughout the game and the disfigured faces of the zombies can scare anyone that is underage. For this reason (and of course the themes of violence!), Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies is rated a little higher than other games in the franchise in terms of its age rating.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies features over 50 levels of Dead Ops Arcade which is one of the star modes of the game. There are also other modes that players can enjoy including solo modes and those that offer online multiplayer support and fighting the zombies in teams. The team mode makes a team of 4 players with an in-game chat option and voice chat support as well.

This game is definitely florid in terms of its features and levels. It’s one of those extensive games that you won’t be putting down for a pretty long time. Featured in the game are tons of detailed and exquisitely designed maps, a flock of weapons that you can equip and upgrade and an achievement board to track your progress in the game.

The graphics of Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies are as always great. They’re not stunning like some popular 3D titles but they still classify as advanced and high definition in our books. The music is picked perfectly to set the dark, moody theme for the game and the sound effects make the game even more intense.

Despite all the good things that have come with Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies, it still hasn’t any thing that really makes it stand out. Players who are seasoned at playing games from this series or other famous FPS titles won’t find Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies to be extraordinary. The controls are basic and the gameplay doesn’t add any new perks to it. It’s almost like any average FPS game that is set in a horror atmosphere with zombies as the enemy target. In short, Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies might be too generic for some players’ tastes.
