Its online playing feature is what makes 8 Ball Pool such an attractive game. But if you don’t want to play with random strangers, you can always challenge a Facebook friend to a duel at the table. Or you could choose to play offline against the computer.

The gameplay is easy: you choose your cue, aim and fire at your desired level of force. The game is played horizontally on the screen which makes it much more immersive and life-like.

What’s great about 8 Ball Pool is not only its online multiplayer mode but customization features as well. After all, if the game didn’t offer uniqueness or customization, it wouldn’t have gained the fame it has. The app offers players to choose and buy different cues all with their own properties. You start off with a beginner’s cue but once you have enough coins, you can purchase a cue of your choice. Each cue has a particular force, spin, aim and time characteristic making the sport much more than a game of luck and chance.

Plus, you get a free spin in the wheel of fortune with every daily login. But there’s a catch – a lot of the features in the app require actual money and purchases. So while on the outlook the game is free, players are forced to make heavy in-app purchases to better their chances at getting at a higher level.

The mini games, for example, are not all free. You need a set amount of cash or coins to unlock the surprise boxes or use the scratch cards. The app is fun and addicting; we can’t deny that. The fact that it is so popular amongst both Android and iOS players means that the in-app purchases might not be too big of a problem.
